Pantoea agglomerans IG1 Strain EVs

Pantoea agglomerans (strain IG1)is a Gram-negative bacterium that symbiotically associates with a wide range of plants—including wheat, rice, sweet potato, apple, pear, and sugarcane—and has been reported to promote plant growth through nitrogen fixation and solubilization of inorganic phosphate¹. In addition, this bacterium plays an important role in folate production during the fermentation of rye bread, a traditional health food in Western countries², and is also used as a biocontrol agent to prevent black spot disease in apples and pears³.

Because of these characteristics, P. agglomerans is considered a bacterium with a long history of safe use in food and is also known as one of the intestinal microbiota.
This product contains extracellular vesicles (EVs) purified from the culture supernatant of Pantoea agglomerans strain IG1 using an ultrafiltration method.

Note: This strain is a lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-producing bacterium patented by Japan Immunoresearch Laboratories Co., Ltd. (Japanese Patent Nos. 5511112 and 5517215).
